Kermit Ruffins is a jazz trumpeter, singer and composer from New Orleans, Louisiana. Ruffins co-founded the Rebirth Brass Band in 1983 and made his first recordings with Rebirth in 1984. In 1992 hee started the Barbecue Swingers, a traditional jazz quintet.
